The LPN Wellness Nurse is ...
My now deceased x husband lived at Manor Lake for two years. He died from burns he encountered while living at the facility. During the time, that he was at the very expensive facility, he was treated with disrespect by the staff and many times was left unclean in his bed. I was calling on a bi weekly basis to the Management who attempted to patronize me in believing things would be better. The medical and service staff have zero empathy for anyone staying there that can't take care of themselves.
I come to Manor Lake often for work. The staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable about any questions I may have. The building is clean. The residents have plenty of activities to choose from and seem to really enjoy being here!
My 68 year old mother with Aphasia has lived here since October 26, 2022. After living in roughly 5 different places in the past 2 years - Manor Lake Bridgemill goes above and beyond meeting our expectations! Each and EVERY employee seems passionate about working there and wears any hat they need to in order for the residents or be safe and happy. Before Manor Lake I just figured all assisted living facilities were full of employees who were miserable and just there for the paycheck - but NOT Manor Lake, management must be doing all the right things because the employees come in happy, energized and ready to accomplish whatever is needed to get their job done. From the sweetest cleaning ladies who do an incredible job and even develop the cutest relationships and trust with the residents, the cooks who make delicious and pretty foods (health score is 100), a receptionist is ALWAYS at the station with a beaming smile ready to greet you, the maintenance man who fills each and request and happy to do it and will step in and help other employees as needed, I even saw him helping out at meal time and filling residents tea. My Mom is on many medications and I trust the med techs and nurses with all of it! With Aphasia, my Mom struggles with communication and these employees are patient and kind to wait and figure out what is it she may need or want. The facility itself is clean, smells great and just feels like home, for her and all of her family who come to visit! They seem to always have some kind of event, live music, craft, party or other social activity for residents to join. On site therapy, an amazing salon, nice outdoor area - the list goes on! They have a management meeting EVERY morning and it shows, the staff seems to be on the same page and working towards the same goal - a real team. If you are shopping for assisted living - go for a tour, you will see for yourself how happy and healthy the residents are, which is the most proof you need it is a great facility. The residents are VERY active - some make me even wonder why they are in a facility at all.
