I can’t say enough wonderful things about Carriage Crossing in Champaign. My in-laws moved into the community about a year and a half ago and as a family we continue to be so happy with the staff, the activities that are available and the food! We often eat with my in-laws and I have been pleasantly surprised each time how great the food is. Charlie made the moving in process as easy as it can be and he continues to be involved and interacts with my Mother in-law. It feels like home to her.

I had gone to a community event and had seen a table for this company. I'm guessing it was the marketer but they gave zero information about the company when I introduced myself. No business cards were handed out and the only things on the table were bottles that no one was offered. I had asked if this was the one located in Champaign and she gave me a confused look. It wasn't until I specified the one by the Carle on Curtis did it seem to click. For her to be the first impression of the company it doesn't seem to bode well with my opinion of how family members are taken care of. I know that a new company took over recentlyish but so far I haven't been impressed by the changes I have heard about. I do have family members who are at the age where finding a community for them is becoming a priority but she didn't sell this location to me. She told me nothing, gave no information and almost felt like the event was an after thought. Are the residents also after thoughts? Is any effort put into their cares? I work in a hospital and have seen fliers for this company so I know they exist but none were brought out or were at least in a location I saw at the start of the event. Other booths made sure to offer business cards, pamphlets or just little trinkets but it felt like they engaged more than she did. It felt like I got my two seconds then she just wanted to move on. I felt lack of effort on her part to sell the community to me. If she put no effort in to selling the community to me why would I even think about giving it any more thoughts? Before the changes I had heard a lot of great things about the company. The residents were taken care of, food was good quality, there were events planned. After this new company took over I have started to hear more about how unhappy people are. If she is the face of the company and many peoples first impression, I'm concerned about the image the company wants to portray.

Carriage Cossing of Champaign is such a beautiful Assisted Living and Memory Care community! The apartments are clean and spacious. The staff are compassionate, professional, and friendly and they go above and beyond to make every day special for their residents.

Terrible place to have family at, while doing a walk through for my family and after talking to some of the other residents there I heard some terrible things. Recently new management and a new director took over and was told that after this took place that the quality of everything deteriorated including the food to the cheapest that they can go as well as cheaping out on employees as well all areas being understaffed and workers being pushed to extremes. When talking to a CNA about this issue they stated that the management, after taking over, fired a lot of people and are refusing to hire help so they can save money, but these workers seem so tired with no help from the management team in every single area of employment here. The residents made clear that everything has gone downhill and has done so fast with many of them stating that if they had a choice they would leave. These residents pay thousands and thousands a month and you are telling me this is how cheap everything has to be? From the food to the Caregivers and the servers how could you put these people in this position when it is supposed to be home? Do not recommend looking at this place as you most likely will be disappointed from what you see and hear

My mother has been a resident here for about 2 years and my family and I have been so happy with the kindness and care my mother has experienced. The community is beautiful and always clean. Mom tells us all the time how good the food is and we've eaten with her many times and agree! Carriage Crossing has been a great decision for our family.
