Stopped in on a Sunday for the first time to ask about respite care. We were surprised to find the executive director, Brenda Keller, was on site and working and willing to meet with us for without an appointment. She was gracious, insightful, and committed to her community. It was an excellent visit. Brenda is a first class professional we were very impressed her and the facility.

I setup a tour for me to visit in concerns to my father, and Brenda and Heather could not have been more accommodating!  They were very thorough and answered all of my questions with patience and in a friendly manner.  The Facility is super clean, and would recommend considering if you are looking for an Independent Living Center for yourself or loved ones!

What an amazing living environment and staff!!  My MIL lost everything she had from back-to-back hurricanes Helene and Milton in Florida and we had to unexpectedly relocate her to Charlevoix.  I was able to secure a pristine apartment and get it furnished from top to bottom in one week. The entire staff could not have been more understanding and helpful.  Such incredibly kind and wonderful folks.  Brenda, Leslie, and Claudia are huge assets to this facility!!!  Heather from AdvisaCare was immensely helpful too.  So many other staff members helped as well, and did so with a smile!  We had a whirlwind amount of time to get so much accomplished and everyone could not have made it easier for us.  These are folks with HUGE HEARTS.  My husband and I feel 100% confident that our family member will receive top notch care and blossom in this environment.  The entire place is very clean, neat, and inviting.  I highly recommend American House in Charlevoix!!

American House Charlevoix is a wonderful home for my mother. The staff are very friendly and caring and Mom often remarks on how much she likes all of them. They have truly created a family atmosphere. An individualized approach to the needs of each resident is evident. The managers are exceptional in their ability to manage the facility very efficiently while maintaining the family atmosphere. Family members are always welcomed and greeted. The facility is very clean and the services offered are of high quality. Our family is very pleased to have such a quality residence available for our mother in Charlevoix! Thank-you American House!

My dad has now spent time in several local facilities. Some were great, some not so great... The American house in charlevoix is excellent. 10/10. Highly recommend. He loves it there. He is progressing. He is clean and his room is clean every time I visit and Brenda is always so responsive and helpful. After some experiences we've had elsewhere I've been on alert for any red flags and I haven't found any. It's so nerve wracking to trust anyone to care for your loved one and I find it so comforting to know he's safe and in good spirits and just overall doing really well. Thank you, American house
