From the moment I stepped in, I could feel the warmth of this community. The "Beautiful" courtyard, lively finch enclosure, and peaceful fish tanks created such a welcoming atmosphere. The common spaces were thoughtfully designed, and I was pleasantly surprised by the ample parking—something you don’t always find! But what truly stood out was the staff. They weren’t just present; they were engaged, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care. It’s clear this is a place where people feel at home. My visit left a lasting impression, and I’m so grateful for the experience!
We recently toured Brookdale Durham, and from the first conversation, we felt genuinely welcomed. As a Jewish family, we were pleasantly surprised (and deeply appreciative) when he showed us that they offer Shabbat services right on site. It’s not something we expected, but it really made us feel seen. 🕯️ The staff are kind and attentive, and there’s a calm, comfortable energy throughout the community. It’s clear they care about creating a space that respects different backgrounds and traditions. Brookdale feels like a place where our loved one can thrive—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually too. ❤️
Never in my life have I seen disrespectful workers my mom is in memory care and never gets shower it often smells like weed when I come in there also the med techs gave her the wrong medicine she apologize too me and told me too keep it between me and her! I came one morning there was only one young lady working in memory care ! Taking care of 16 residents no med tech or other cna in sight …. My mom is always watching tv never does no activity nor does she engage in any other thing just TV … the director never take care of any problems! I’m so disgusted I’m giving my money too these people … currently finding mom somewhere new !! And yea did I forget everyone including the managers are always on their phones no wonder why my mom keeps on falling
I see why social service is always getting called! This place went down hill no one cares about their job and also I seen a couple good people that worked their left also I was so upset because now it seems like the new people they have are not doing ANYTHING mom always smells they are always on phones or not paying attention too residents . I’m at the verge too reporting this place too the state. My mom says the girls are mean too her and etc I can’t take it
My poor friend in Memory care did not receive good care. They are understaffed and overworked which makes them not very nice to visitors and residents. For the amount this place cost you would expect fantastic care, sadly that was not the case
