"Thank you for the opportunity to clarify on the care we provide. While I don’t know how you might have come to these conclusions I’m sorry that your experience experience has been negative. I do my very best to be respectful and kind in all my communications including with yourself and with your relative in our home. I understand you had frustrations with his social worker, his doctor, and his mental health provider. We tried our best to meet his care need to which we believe he was receptive. Your level of concern is understandable however you were not satisfied with the care the team provided and decided to move him to another AFH. Our home has bi weekly grocery deliveries from Costco and weekly fresh food delivery. We have not offered boiled fish or vegetables and would be happy to share our menu upon request. Furthermore we have 24 hour caregivers and every resident is provided with a call bell in their room and on their person. We routinely check on our residents and make sure they are taken care of. In a heavily regulated environment such as an AFH having an unattended resident for 6 hours would have the license revoked. We have been caring for residents since 2008 and residents have been with us for a very long time. Their families and themselves are more than happy with the care we provide. We maintain a caring relationship not only with residents but with their loved ones as well. "

"This is not what it is self reported to be. Should be "Warning Do Not Send Your Loved One Here". The food is starvation and limited. poorly perpared. They only shop for food twice a month and if they run out of things the clients get oatmeal mixed with what ever dry cereal is left. Adinner maybe boiled fish, boiled cauliflower and instant potatoes. If you complain they will tell you That is What The PROVIDER gives. There are no activities, no posted menu, as they get what ever "THE PROVIDER" drops off for the two weeks. The "PROVIDER" is nasty on the phone and could care less of any concerns you may have. One man layed on the bathroom floor for 6hrs. and later died in the Hospital. Another took after "The Care Giver and is now back in Western State Hosp. WARNING!!! DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!! "
