"We love Daystar Senior Living so far! Last month my 93 year old mother-in-law started experiencing advanced stages of Alzheimer's. She was in a large assisted living community prior to moving to Daystar, but when it became clear she required the memory care area we felt a smaller home environment would be better for her. After a lot of research I found Daystar and called. I spoke to Ruben, the home's manager, and immediately was impressed with our conversation and his willingness to answer all of my questions. He invited me to tour the home, which I did. He introduced me to all of the residents and care givers. He also allowed me to show my husband and brought my mother-in-law twice while we were decision making. I have seen many senior living homes and this one is by far the best. It's large with private rooms and baths for each resident, a separate spacious shower room that allows the residents and care givers plenty of room to be comfortable, a large family room area for residents to hang out and play games, a gorgeous kitchen with a huge island and a large round table for the residents to enjoy their meals, and a private beauty shop room where they have someone come to cut hair. In additional they have a doctor that comes once a month and one time when I was there, she had come for an emergency visit for a resident. The house is amazing, but more importantly is the people that own and work there. Ruben's parents own the home and both, along with the caregivers, truly seek out what's best for the residents there.
