My sister made the best decision, when she moved into Atria Rancho Mirage. She realized that her capabilities were diminishing and she needed help. Moving into the independent phase of Atria, she managed for a period of time before it was obvious she needed the next level of care. This occurred seamlessly due to the expert staff on hand. Since Atria offers a full range of levels at one location, we her family didn't need to worry about her care. Once it was determined that Memory Care was the next and last level she needed, the move was made. The caring, compassionate, and loving staff made this move easy. Each and every one of the staff take it upon themselves to care for the residences as if they were family. We live 2 hours away. If it were not for the distance, my husband and I would make Atria our choice, when the time comes for us. I will miss seeing each and every one of them.
God Bless them all!

Great feeling at Atria Rancho Mirage today. The tour provided all the information we needed to make our decision. The staff were friendly and many lovely residents welcomed my mom to join them for Zumba class. I'm excited to see my mom start a new chapter after being home alone for so long.

Atria Rancho Mirage is a solid choice for assisted living, memory care and independent living, expecially considering the pricing, which is very competitive for the area. The staff is attentive and works hard to support the residents, and being part of the Atria brand adds a level of consistency and professionalism. It's a well-run community that offers good value too.

Alzheimer's is a terrible disease and so, so difficult for patients' loved ones to navigate. Atria Rancho Mirage has made the process easier for me, as a caregiver child, whose 85-year-old mother has mid-stage Alzheimer's.
My sister and I moved our mother into Atria Rancho Mirage Terrace about 12 weeks ago. We couldn't be happier with the placement. All of the staff are fantastic. They are personable, available for communication, caring, knowledgeable, and worth their weight in gold. The employees have treated our mother with respect and dignity. Plus, our mother, herself, despite her Alzheimer's, can recognize the staff's lovingness and care. She constantly raves about how wonderful everyone is, even though she would much rather be back at her condo, where she lived alone. She realizes how blessed she is being there. That's a miracle, if you knew our mom!
If you are considering moving a loved one into a Memory Care facility, you can't find a better place than Atria Rancho Mirage Terrace. I have gone around the geographical area and checked out many, many memory care facilities, along with board and care-type homes, which really offer no activities. The residents sit around in the living room watching TV all day with no additional stimulation. And the spaces are much smaller. The residents are relegated to one bedroom, often shabbily furnished and/or shared, and a living room... all the time.
At Atria Rancho Mirage Terrace, residents can participate in planned activities. Today the theme was camping and travel, and the whole downstairs was all beautifully decorated, even offering s'mores snacks! I've seen their Zumba exercise activity, their karaoke, their happy hours, and the residents are stimulated. The accommodations are studio apartments, rather than tiny bedrooms.
Keep in mind that my comments are solely related to the Life Extension program and not the regular Assisted Living. Go see Gavin in Sales, a magnificent human being, who exudes positive energy and warmth, to see how Atria can benefit your loved one! You will fall in love with Gavin!!

My Mom lived at Atria Rancho Mirage for 3 ½ years, the first year in Assisted Living followed by 2 ½ years in Memory Care. I definitely recommend this place. They send out monthly newsletters detailing updates and activities. They have a mobile app where you can stay updated on the activities, meals, and other items. They send out twice yearly satisfaction surveys, which I have completed. The facility is clean, bright, and welcoming. There are lots of activities. The food is very good with lots of choices. The staff interacts well with the residents. When my Mom had to move to memory care, the staff took care of everything for the move. They explained the move to her, moved her, moved her stuff, hooked up the TV/cable/phone, and hung her pictures on her walls. Memory care at Atria was just what Mom needed. Her time there was notable for some of the exceptional caregivers and med techs she had. The memory care director changed during her time there, but it was a smooth transition, and both of the directors were excellent. The staff in memory care keeps a close eye on the residents, engaging them in the common areas, and checking on them when they are in their rooms. My Mom was in Hospice for her final 9 months, and they worked very well as a team; Hospice said good things about Atria, and Atria said good things about Hospice. When my Mom passed, they were very supportive in working with us to clean out her apartment and take care of her things.
