I recently visited Silverado Memory Care in San Juan Capistrano and spent time with Adam Campbell, their Business Development Specialist. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the genuine love, compassion, and warmth that the staff has for their residents.
The entire 96-bed community has clearly been designed with extraordinary thought and intention — every detail supports safety, dignity, and comfort. The rooms are beautifully decorated and truly feel like home. Residents are free to walk around, explore, and engage at their own pace, and it seemed like there was something meaningful to do around every corner. The facility is purpose built for secure outdoor areas, walking paths and gardening spaces and designed to support independence.
What touched me most were the small moments: staff giving hugs, residents smiling, and the way everyone interacted with respect and patience. I also had the pleasure of meeting their exceptional Family Ambassador, Andrea Furch, whose passion for supporting families really stood out.
Based on our conversation and the community’s needs and future plans, I left feeling genuinely inspired and wanting to be part of the wonderful work they’re doing. And as a sweet final touch, the receptionist handed me a box of homemade chocolate chip cookies on my way out.
Silverado San Juan Capistrano is a special place filled with heart, intention, and humanity. Highly recommended.

Silverado is an all-around fantastic community! My dad has lived at Silverado SJC for three years now and has had amazing care. The staff is outstanding-- professional, caring and attentive to his needs. The activities are creative and engaging. My dad in particular loves all the live music. The grounds are expansive, so my dad has plenty of places to explore and take walks. I give Silverado SJC an A+. It has been the perfect fit for my dad. Silverado is a loving, safe and clean environment. It is the closest thing to home. Thank you to the amazing team at Silverado SJC for caring for my dad so well!!!

Our loved one has been a resident at Silverado for almost 90 days. We had a horrible, and extremely stressful time getting him out of his home and got him into Silverado with a little assistance and subterfuge. Our family did not know what to expect and we were all prepared for an unpleasant reaction. Silverado turned out to be the best decision we could have made and our loved one is safe, well nourished (he loves the food!) and best of all he is HAPPY and has no desire to return to his home. Silverado is comfortable and very relaxing, especially the central courtyard area. There is usually some type of activity going on when I visit. There are also dogs and cats, both resident and visiting. Kitchen areas are stocked with snacks and there are always beverages out.
Every staff member I’ve met has been nothing but kind and caring, even as to the family’s needs. It is clear these people know what they are doing!

Silverado San Juan Capistrano gave John dignity, love, and peace in his final chapter—and gave me comfort I’ll never forget.
From the moment we first walked in, the warmth was immediate. John smiled and said, “This feels like a place where I’ll be truly cared for.” And he was.
The nurses were attentive, skilled, and compassionate. Even during John's final days, I was never alone—someone was always there to check on me, offer a hug, or sit quietly by my side.
Silverado hospice supported not just John, but me, with such calm and clarity.
The activities team gave John joy—he baked cookies, arranged flowers, and always went to the music groups he loved.
Leo’s meals were unforgettable. Even when John only wanted ice cream and Coke, it was served with such care and dignity—like fine dining on a white tablecloth.
Housekeeping, maintenance and Laundry kept his space spotless and always greeted me with a hug and a smile.
And the leadership were always visible, engaged, and full of love. From the front desk to the hallways, every hug and kind word made Silverado feel like home.
Every person at Silverado gave something of their heart. I’m endlessly grateful. When you lose your partner, you don’t just lose them—you lose the family you found at Silverado. And that’s how deeply their care touches you.

Silverado San Juan became our home during the 7 years my Mom lived there. The genuine love, and care towards our entire family was humbling and something that I will forever be grateful for. We saw community living in a different light as it gave us support, treatment, laughter and exceptional care during one of the most difficult times of our lives.
