Assurety, being "Award Winning Care" sounds like it would be marketing hype, right? Mental and Emotional Care: My Dad is suffering from severe dementia and always was used to doing things his way and being very active (sometimes 24 hours a day). When he was unable to remain at his assisted living facility, I thought "Wow, there's no way he's going to be happy again" Yet the staff at Assurety figured it out. They adjust their care to the needs of each patient, always looking for touchstones that perk the person up. A couple of examples for my Dad that they found: hiking videos and singing. Physical Care: Before Assurety, Dad was being hospitalized with infections every few weeks. Since he's been with Assurety for a couple of years, the only issue they had was shortly after he entered their care (likely a latent infection when he first joined) and absolutely nothing since. That tells me they're keeping things clean and sterile and doing what my Dad needs physically. They have alarms on the beds so if my Dad starts getting up in the middle of the night, they are down stairs with him. (And sometimes it's 4 to 5 times per night!) Highly recommend Assurety. Honestly, I can't imagine any place I'd rather have my Dad.

My Mom Beverly lived at Assurety for 6 years, and received the very BEST of care that entire time from Jim and Laura. They run their Adult Care Home with expert care, loads of Love, and always treated my Mom like she was their own family! Mom had severe Alzheimer's, and was not easy to care for at home any longer, and we were so blessed to find Jim and Laura to take care of her. Their home is spotless, their care unmatched, and Mom had those 6 great years under their watchful eye, until she passed on. I only have the highest regard for Jim and Laura and what they do. They are Gods Angel's, come to help in difficult days, and I dearly love them for it.

My mom and I first heard about Jim and Laura from our neighbor's daughter who's mother lived to be nearly 104 with them. When our dad/Grandpa needed a higher level of care, we were lucky that they had openings. Beautiful bright sunny rooms, excellent cooking both for flavor and appearance as well as health benefits. Our dad/grandpa in spite of losing his mobility, is thriving there in the bright cheerful atmosphere. We feel so fortunate to have found such a good attentive place for him.

Laura and Jim are very caring people who seem genuinely concerned about the well-being and happiness of my aunt. Their facility is laid out well, the garden is spectacular and they put up extensive interior decorations for the different holidays and seasons. They serve large holidays meals and had a special dinner for my aunt’s birthday. They have been very accommodating getting my aunt into their facility and with our visits.

We are grateful for Mom's happiness. She knows she is safe, is very well cared for, and is socially engaged in a beautiful home filled with light and love and don't forget Jim's rose garden! Although Mom's memory has diminished, she looks forward to each day, she enjoys the visits of family and friends, and she listens and sings along to her collection of Hawaiian music. Jim & Laura outdid themselves when everyone was treated to a Hawaiian feast in celebration of Mom's 92nd birthday! Thank you, Jim & Laura, for all you do!
