ONE AT HOME - PALM BEACH

"FIRST OF ALL IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CALL THIS COMPANY. YOU CAN BE ON HOLD FOR HOURS. SECOND, MY MOM BROKE HER WRIST AND WAS EVALUATED FOR OT IN FEBRUARY 2024 BY RICARDO D. I WAS IN ATTENDANCE AT EVALUATION. MY MOM LIVES AT ATRIUM IN BOCA ASSISSTED LIVING. SHE HAS DEMENTIA, SHE IS 92 YRS OLD. I COME TO FIND OUT THAT SHE NEVER RECEIVED THE THERAPY THAT I WAS TOLD SHE WOULD RECEIVE 2 X A WEEK BECAUSE MY MOM REFUSED THERAPY. NO ONE AT ONE AT HOME PALM BEACH CONTACTED ME AS HER CAREGIVER, OR EVEN THE ATRIUM AT BOCA RATON. THERE IS NO COMMON SENSE HERE. WHY WOULD A MEDICAL PERSON TAKE A DEMENTIA'S PATIENT WORD INSTEAD OF CONTACTING MYSELF, HER DAUGHTER, HER CAREGIVER. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE SERVICE FROM ONE AT HOME PALM BEACH."

"If negative stars were an option, that would be what this agency deserves. I can’t even list all of the examples of complete ineptitude. The staff literally reads from a computer. There is no way to contact any person specifically involved with the patient’s “care”. I literally called the agency, spoke with a representative, and she told me to call *the same number I was speaking with her on* for my answer. I needed to remind her that I was speaking with her on that same number. Forget about setting up rehab services. You cannot speak with them directly via the agency. There is no direct line or extension. The rep “will leave them a message” for you, which they will never return. PT will assess the patient for 15 min. Give a standard (not personalized or comprehensive) recommendation based on “what the computer says” regardless of the needs of the patient. Absolutely no regard or advocating for the patient in terms of amount of visits. Typical “too deconditioned for this but not enough for that” and so you are pushed along a system of healthcare that is basically a mill. Being a Doctor of physical therapy myself, the whole experience with this agency and its staff is appalling. There is no communication. Everyone gives you a different answer, and, like I said previously, they’re just reading “what they are supposed to say”. I could obviously go on and on. I literally never write reviews good or bad save for exceptional experiences and this one takes the cake. Stay far, far away from this disaster. "
