Centerwell Home Health

The hospital contracted them to help me with my mom's home care. The 1 star is because 48 hours after my mom's discharge, home health still had not contacted me, so I called them and they said my mother's referral request was still being reviewed. The manager called me a day later to tell me that the nurse who was supposed to come help my mom would call me to schedule what time they would be coming out the following day. No one ever called and no nurse ever came so I had to manage to care for my mom on my own until time for her to return to the hospital for treatments.

My husband is disabled and we needed wound care…. Our doctor contacted Centerville and set up home health services at our home… The girls who came in, had no experience and had no idea how to help him transfer to the bed… They seemed to think he was too much work… They called the doctor and had him discharge our care So that they didn’t have to go see him anymore… I was told they simply have some online training…

The group therapists were great! I love that I was able to see progress and get on my feet. Angela and Tracy pushed me to my next levels. I have another Surgery in my future, I’m hoping for Centerwell to provide assistance with recovery again.

If I was giving a rating for just the nurses and physical therapists it would be 5 stars. If the rating is based on the company it would be 3 stars. I cannot say enough about Alex and Dwight and because of them my mother in law is definitely getting stronger and her balance and coordination is getting much better. I know she's not where she needs to be yet, but hopefully she will be able to get close to living independently again. The only negative feedback I have is having to work around and reschedule my own appointments -sometimes they day of-because not everything is scheduled. You might get a call at 7pm on monday and be told that they will be there between 9 and 10 the next morning. Because my mother in law has dementia I have to be with her for appointments which makes the night before notice of when the appointment is more impactful.

Zena was great spending my first 5 days home. Teresa, my therapist has really worked hard to get me where I need to be. Vanity, my gorgeous nurse has been a blessing in my life during this time!!!! Vanity got me in to see my doctor when my sore was almost in infected state. I’ve learned a lot from her. 😁
