The company provided me in home PT. My therapist was Jeff who did an amazing job with me post hospital stay. When I got home, I could not even go up the stairs without assistance. Sometimes, I had to call a neighbor to help because one person was not enough. Well now it has been two months and because of PT, I am able to do everything again.

The encouragement and support during my recovery from left hip surgery was fantastic. Susan did an amazing job showing me how to use walker and the can. How to maneuver the steps, getting up and down. The more I did my PT, the stronger and more confident I felt in getting around my home. Even getting in and out of the car taking my time and being safe. Thanks Susan! I appreciate all your help.

Terrible! let a bed sore wound deteriorate to a point of no return. Nurse Allison Lee didn't know her craft. I called in specialists to direct her in wound care. She got insulted and angry, saying let your mother die. My post was previously deleted, why? I wonder. the healthcare aids were all incompetent, not know their place, back talking when I noticed a mistake ex: (cleaning my mother and wiping down instead of up: down leads to a uti) after a number of aids only one I trusted. She rolled her eyes when Allison Lee was incompetently working on my mother's bed sore. She knew the nurse wasn't qualified to treat a bed sore, she but couldn't say anything at the risk of losing her job. My mother's home physician, who wasn't allowed to see my mother because of Amedisys, said these nurses have minimum training in these issues and a specialist wound nurse needs to be called in!

They were all very diligent in getting me stronger and on my feet more, after being mostly kept in a wheel chair in the care facility, even after doing therapy for their safety reasons. So to get back to standing and walking around has been a start in a great direction for me as my new medical conditions I got diagnosed with after my fall, Edema and Thrombosis are life threatening, and if I am not active and on my feet getting my blood flowing and taking time to also elevate my legs when I noticed swelling can be deadly for me! So to have the ability of being able to walk with my walker and stand has been that fighting chance to help manage my conditions. I'm hoping I can handle the physical therapy and isn't too tough on me to complete as I am anxious to see just how I'll do. I did have some days when I had no visits that I was hesitant to do some of the balance exercises because I was afraid if I lost my balance I would fall and my daughter who has been residing with me had an ankle fracture that was meant for me. Some one tampered with buttons on my motorized chair she was putting it away and it had speed up on her crushing her ankle. So I didn't want to take the risk of doing the exercise without her being able to stand beside me. All in all I know the home visits had to end and I was quite pleased as I saw progression however I am not 100% steady in some areas so I will see how I improve with outside therapy. I want to say that Bill and Aditiya were great, although I am hard of hearing they made sure I understood what the point of each exercise was for and their level of empathy and compassion working with helping the elderly they really seem to be doing what they love in helping others. So I'd really like to see that Bill and Aditiya get 10 stars each! I also want to sincerely thank Amedisys for being a such an excellent company of great therapists that are passionate about help the elderly get some of their mobility back 💯 stars for Amedisys!!!... Hope was an awesome therapist. Hope helped my Mom tremendously; leaving her with exercises to continue the progress. Mom is very disappointed that her time with Hope came to an end. Great communication and overall such a positive attitude!! Hope will be missed by all!!
