INCOMPETENT office staff. Laid on the couch for three days waiting on IV fluids for hypotension I was told would be given the next day. I called them numerous times and was told my insurance does not cover home infusions. Called insurance company and it is covered, but they did not have record of me being a patient with this company. Amedisys gave me the incorrect number to address with the supplier, so they had no record of me either. When I called Amedisys for the sixth time to address this issue, they called an ambulance for me, although I was in the same condition I’d been in since my assessment three days ago. I told the office staff I was not going anywhere via ambulance due to it being unsafe for me because of my complex medical conditions and they called them anyways, wasting valuable resources. Don’t waste your time or jeopardize your health with this company. The nurses are really nice, though.
