First Light Home Care is a God send for my wife, who has Alzheimer's and for me as her care giver. I've had the opportunity to have contact with a few of the team members and everyone has shown genuine concern and care. Yolanda, the home health care assistant, goes far above and beyond her duties. Taking care of a client is the job, but Yolanda and the othe associates of First Light care about the client and their family. Yoland, from day one, is my wife's best friend. On the days that Yolanda isn't assigned to assist my wife constantly asks, "When's my friend coming back". When she sees a vehicle that resembles Yolanda's car, she's asking if that's Yolanda. Yolanda takes care of her as though my wife is her Mother. I've had to communicate with Kathryn several times to get everything the insurance company requires for payment. The problem wasn't Kathryn's, but the insurance company's failure to provide all of the required information on the front end. Kathryn has been very patient with me, is always cheerful, and has always been expedient in getting the needed information. This past Saturday I realized that I needed some information so I send her an email with the expectation of her reading it on Monday. Within just a few moments Kathryn responded saying that she would send it. On the weekend, while on her own time she's caring for the client. Last, but not least, Jinliang and Carmelyta, the owners. They set the tone for the rest of the company. The first time I spoke with them I immediately felt their care and concern. In my first conversation with Carmelyta, she taught me more about caring for my wife than all of the doctors, friends, and family that I'd had conversation with. She wasn't giving me a talk on the care giving, she would ask a question about my wife and then from the answer would comment about how that dictates how to best approach her in trying to get her to respond in the manner needed. Yes, this is a long review, but when you're looking for home care for your love one, you want as much information as possible. First Light Home Care gives superior care and support.

First Light Home Care has proven to be the best choice for care for my mother. My mom loves her caregiver. She helps her walk around, prepares lunch, assists in bathing, washes and styles her hair, puts lotion on her and so many other extras that are so appreciated. They laugh and talk and watch movies. The entire time she is in our home, she devotes every minute to the care and safety of my 98 yo mom. The owners and employees are so kind and professional. Any problem that arises is quickly fixed. They worked hard to find just the most perfect person to be mom’s caregiver, which is so important, for not just caregiving but also for her mental well-being. I love First Light Home Care.

The caregivers were extraordinary! When my sister required around the clock care I was so thankful for the staff and the comfort they provided for her as well as myself and our family. Carmelyta’s expertise in knowing how to orchestrate her care far surpassed the care we were receiving from hospice. I especially want to mention Sheila, Earl, and Kendra who went above and beyond in their duties and made sure my sister was in as much peace as possible. Within hours of first contact, the team met me and my father (who needed overnight supervision). Same evening they had a companion for my dad who stayed with him for 5 consecutive nights between both the hospital room and his personal residence. Earl was the companion and he was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and there for my father every step of the way. Earl was such a pleasure to be around that my father would ask where he was after each shift. Would give 6 stars if possible. We will definitely use the service again and request Earl every time!
