Home and Hearth Caregivers

I am an advocate for a friend of mine and didn't know where to start to find some home health care for her. I was given Home and Hearth contact information, and they have been extremely helpful. My main contact is Ashley, and she has been amazing the home health care worker, Virginia, visiting my friend weekly has also been kind and patient with my friend. She has been wonderful. I am so grateful for their guidance.

Home and Hearth provided me with extraordinary assistance in my surgical needs in that they provided me with a required medical companion, Frances Townsend, who was awsome. She was on time and very nice. Also a safe driver. The entire staff at Home and Hearth is great. They are very responsive to patient needs and very courteous. It was a pleasure working with them.

Beware! I thought after careful research Home and Hearth was the ideal service for my mom. Well come to find out it wasn’t and was disappointed! I let Gloria know what I was looking for, schedule, and importance of having a caregiver experienced with dementia care. After 7 pages (!!) of paperwork AND 2 week security deposit - I have interacted with other agencies for care and not one of them required a security deposit! - I was told that she could only find a care giver for one of the 2 days I was looking for AND a different schedule than what I needed! Yet this agency calls themselves “experts” on dementia care when having multiple caregivers for a dementia person is confusing to them let alone in your own home! Then I get told, “Well it’s just hard finding a caregiver in your area” … and this couldn’t be relayed at our initial meeting??!!! I truly regret being so trustworthy and filling out paperwork that required personal info including bank info before services even started, and realizing they aren’t so “experts” after all! Beware and just continue on with the search and eventually there is an agency for you - we were able to find one after searching again!

My family has been using Home and Hearth Caregivers for about six months to assist my Dad who is 87. We have found the service to be very reliable and communication and billing have been smooth. We particularly appreciate our caregiver Patty who is a very capable and hard worker. She gets along very well with my Dad; she enjoys his stories and shares some of hers.

I am very pleased with the service Home and Hearth has provided, The Care Plan Manager, Gloria, knows exactly what is needed to provide the best possible care for my mother. After our initial meeting to discuss my mom's condition and needs, a caregiver was found and started immediately. The caregiver, Aileen, has been absolutely amazing! She is a compassionate, attentive and caring person. I would definitely recommend this agency to find the best care for your loved one.
