"The first day with Blue Spruce Homecare didn't go very well. The PCP came late, and I tried explaining to her that I needed to be on time. When she came in I asked her to read the PCP instruction sheet, and had asked her three times to please sit down as she was standing over me. I knew from my previous experience as a domestic violence counselor that that is about power and control. She finally sat down and we spoke about she was stuck in traffic, enter GPS told her the wrong way to get to my home. I told her I understand that, and that she needs to plan better to get here at the appropriate time. That is when she raised her voice and started saying I don't control traffic, and got very argumentative. It should be noted: that Maurice the supervisor was here and I was about to sign the care plan that he had three things on it that I don't need done. Maurice actually overheard her arguing with me until I said "this isn't going to work" as Demi the PCP escalated her voice and try to talk over me several times. She was not letting me explain Demi just wanted me to stop talking to her. It is at that time I finally said "I think I need somebody else". Maurice is going to go back to the office at Blue Spruce Homecare and look for another PCP today. I was okay with the PCP being late but not the aggressive attitude toward me even if it's just verbally."
