Visiting Angels of SW Florida, operating in both southern Lee and Collier Counties, is one of the Nation's leading providers of non-medical in-home senior care in the Fort Myers – Naples, FL area. Visiting Angels of SW Florida is owned and operated by Kathleen Fleming, RN, BS, CDP, Executive Director and Karen Hill, Director of Finance. Our on-call office staff is available 24 hours a day to respond to unplanned emergencies and meet all of your homecare needs. One of the biggest differences between Visiting Angels and its competitors is that EVERY client is assessed by a licensed Nurse prior to initiation of services. Although our services are non-medical, this gives us the opportunity to identify any underlying health and personal issues. By doing this, we are able to provide the caregivers with a thorough understanding of the client's physical, nutritional and emotional needs. Following the initial assessment, the Nurse creates a plan of care for the caregiver to follow, along with ongoing assessments throughout the duration of services. This initial assessment also provides us with the opportunity to identify any unmet medical needs. If needed, we can make referrals to professionals, such as physicians and skilled home health agencies, to provide our clients with medical services that will additionally enhance their lives and physical well-being. Visiting Angels of SW Florida also understands the importance of the safety and security of our clients and has partnered with ClearStar, a company that provides background screening on all of our caregivers that exceeds the State of Florida requirements. This screening utilizes national databases to conduct local and federal felony and misdemeanor convictions, previous names and addresses, as well as motor vehicle/driving history reports for the previous 7 years.
