Visionary was there for me and my family in a crisis and supported us well beyond the level of standard care. We needed immediate, urgent assistance for a family member on hospice care, and were referred to Visionary. They needed a contract printed, signed and delivered to them, but we had no such means, so Shawnee came to our home to do the admin work in person. Apart from taking care of the paperwork, Shawnee provided helpful on-the-spot emotional support as well as guidance on best practices in caregiving for our family member, which was something she clearly drew on from years of dedicated experience. Then, Shawnee did something extraordinary. Having observed and assessed the level of vulnerability of our sick family member, she proceeded to administer care herself, even though she wasn't the one assigned as our caregiver, but an administrator. She skillfully and carefully repositioned the patient, tenderly and delicately and with great care changed under-liners, provided guidance on preventing bed sores, and much more. She calmed me and my family a great deal, and it is owning to her that we were able to fulfill our own care duties much more calmly and effectively. She left us with the assurance that Maurice would arrive at the appointed time, which he did.
When Maurice arrived, we were very happy. Shawnee chose someone big and strong, which was exactly what we needed for the job. She even called in advance to make certain Maurice had large size sanitary gloves on hand, since our gloves would have been too small for him. It was clear what an excellent and kind-hearted man Maurice was from the minute he walked through the threshold. My mother liked him very much and still mentions how good and kind he was. In addition to his calming personality and politeness, he was extremely dedicated to his job and his client. He strictly monitored the patient and the patient's behaviors throughout the night, as though on guard duty, reporting anything out of the ordinary to us. He took care to reposition our family member with care and tenderness, and expressed compassion and understanding of our anxiety in a time of great stress and uncertainty. He was there for emotional support when medications needed to be administered and was always prepared to provide guidance on anything needed to insure optimal care and support. When it was time to leave, Maurice made sure to ask if there was anything else he could have helped with.
Thank you, Visionary, and especially Shawnee and Maurice, for coming to our rescue. It may sound like an exaggeration, but that's exactly what you did.

If I could rate this zero stars I would... My husband was a client of theirs, they don’t seem to care much about their clients. They always seem to be under staffed and not well trained. If you get services on a weekend and the caregiver doesn’t show up, good luck having the on call answer the phone. When they do answer, they just inform you that there is nothing they can do to help you which is unacceptable/unprofessional. I feel sorry for those who have no one else to pick up the slack for these so called caregivers, because the client is just left to fend for themselves for that day. The main problem is the office personnel, in my own opinion they all need further training.
