Home Instead

My Dad is 92, and my mom is 89, and both were living at home. Along with a number of falls, my dad has serious mobility and health issues; however, he wanted to remain at home as long as possible. My mom was the primary caregiver and just could not do everything, even though she tried. She is a very independent person with a do-it-all herself attitude, so after some convincing, she agreed to allow the Home Instead folks in the home to help. She was so glad she accepted the help. The Home Instead staff was fantastic and allowed my parents to stay in their home before my dad moved into a Nursing home. Every person at Home Instead was amazing, from the initial consultations to the in-home services. Just to name a few of the many helpful folks, include Deborah, Kelley, Kelly, and Jovanka. Sorry if I missed anyone. My brother, sister, and I, along with our parents, can not say "thank you" enough to the team.

My mother is 86 and due to personality changes from her aging, she is VERY challenging to work with. Despite that, Home Instead provided flexible, supportive and competent care to my mother. Makayla, Chantal and Helen especially were perfect caregivers and my family felt so lucky to have their help. I strongly recommend Home Instead for care of your elderly parents.

I can't say enough about Home Instead. My 89 year old grandmother had a recent hospital stay for low sodium and infection. When she returned home, she was weak and unable to care for herself. After a couple of days, my mother and I were so overwhelmed we needed help! The visiting nurses recommended we call Home Instead. I'm so glad we did. Within days we had the help we needed in a professional team of Care Pros who helped my grandmother every morning get ready and situated for the day. After only two weeks, she was back on her feet and back in action. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Home Instead again if my grandmother needs that level of care. Highly recommended.

We utilized Home Instead for in home companion care of our father. The team was terrific, from start to finish. Very professional, easy to communicate with, and very caring for our father. The woman assigned to be his care provider was so kind and genuinely liked our father. He too, liked her and we are grateful that this relationship worked so well.

The reimbursement process for Long Term Care at John Hancock is incredibly tedious and difficult, especially given their clientele! Brenda Orellana in the billing department at Home Instead is excellent at helping to manage that process and goes out of her way to help ensure their clients are reimbursed, and in a timely manner.
