Finding the right care for my elderly mother, who has mobility challenges and dementia, was a significant concern for our family. We are beyond grateful to have found the most amazing caregivers at Peninsula Homecare Cooperative. The expert and compassionate care they provide, combined with their genuine companionship, tenderness, and love, has brought us immense peace of mind. It truly feels like we have a lovely family of caregivers supporting Mom!

Peninsula Homecare has been caring for my father for several years and we couldn't be more pleased with their care. They take care of all his needs (personal, food, cleaning, laundry and social!) Dad loves all of his caregivers. I would and have recommended them.

For a singularly emotional period of several months, I was blessed to have Kippi Waters and her team at the Coop figure hugely in my daily life. I live in California and was doing what I could from afar to help my mother, a Port Townsend resident, die with as much ease and joy as possible in her home. She had her wife taking care of her, and they were getting some help through Hospice and some help through Medicare, but the situation was untenable nonetheless. Caregivers are an incredibly scarce resource in Port Townsend, but Kippi was super responsive and moved Heaven and earth to arrange as much Coop care as possible right away for my mother. Besides the usual challenges of scheduling there was the added difficulty that my mother’s wife was not coping well with grief, a back injury, and exhaustion. She was not at all welcoming to put it politely and the first caregiver flatly refused to return. Kippi had every reason to decline to help us, but she is an incredibly generous and compassionate human being and she managed to put together a team willing to persevere in that environment. My heart has a special place particularly for Meso, a gentle Japanese man, who really saw the beauty in my mother and did what he could to brighten her passing. He was the one willing to do the long 12-hour night shifts, sitting in a recliner beside her hospital bed, watching over her. I know that she loved his calm, kind energy and guitar playing. He extended his kindness and caretaking to me as well, texting me notes on occasion about how she was doing. I couldn’t visit my dying mother, since her wife and I had become estranged, so Meso and Kippi were an incredibly precious conduit. I believe Kippi Waters founded the Peninsula Homecare Cooperative because she saw a real need and felt impelled to fill it. She has a team of genuinely caring, competent people. They were able to help me navigate Hospice and understand its role. They were legally qualified to administer the medications my mother needed. They were generous enough to care about my mother’s family as a whole. I owe them a real debt of gratitude, so here, several months overdue, is my encomium of praise for Peninsula Homecare Cooperative, who they are and what they provide.

Through Peninsula Homecare I found help with caring for my husband with Alzhiemers. The 'companions' are very professional, caring and thoughtful, and go out of their way to make us feel comfortable and cared for. I am very grateful to have this company so close.

Staff have been consistent thoughtful, really listening to the concerns and desires expressed by the person they are caring for. Kippi does a great job at thinking through constructive combinations of caregivers with different strengths.
