Phil Jacobson and his wife, Janni, are the owners of Amada Senior Care Salt Lake City. They believe strongly in caring for each of their clients as if they were members of their own family. This is much more than a mission statement for the Jacobsons, but an expression of their conviction that all seniors deserve to live in safety, comfort, and dignity. Part of what motivates Phil and Janni’s dedication to providing the highest quality of senior care is their personal experiences with elder care, both in-home and at a nursing home. When Janni’s grandmother was 90 years old, she moved in to help care for her. Janni says, “It gave my parents such peace of mind to know I was there helping her, taking her shopping, and just spending time with her.” Now, Janni is able to use her position with Amada Salt Lake to provide personalized care for seniors in their homes. Phil Jacobson had a separate senior care experience. He recalls, “My earliest interaction with providing care for a senior was with my grandfather. When I was a young boy, my mother would take me to visit him in the nursing home almost every week. I remember thinking, the home provided good care, but I still wondered if my grandfather would have enjoyed the twilight years of his life even more if he had been able to live more independently and in his own home."
