Our family’s experience with JourneyCare Hospice was deeply heartbreaking. My mother deserved compassion, dignity, and knowledgeable care during her final days — and we did not feel she received that. The staff seemed disorganized and unprepared to handle her symptoms properly. There were delays in medication, poor communication between nurses and doctors, and moments when it was clear they didn’t know how to manage her pain or comfort. Instead of guiding us through the hardest days of her life, their lack of attentiveness and compassion made everything much more painful. Watching someone you love suffer because of uncoordinated or inadequate care is something no family should ever go through.

Having a family member in a hospice facility is pretty depressing, but the level of care provided by the nursing staff was so high that at least I did not need to worry about my family member being neglected. Whenever my husband hit the call button to get help from the nurse, the nurse would come into the room within two minutes. The nurses also seemed to really care about their patients. When the nurse thought that my husband was near death, the nursing staff visited more often and also stayed in the room at the end so that someone was in the room when he took his last breath. The Celebration of Life procession is when the body is taken out of the hospice facility and loaded into the funeral car. The hospice staff stood along the halls to support the family while the body was being wheeled out. A song chosen by the family was also played during this procession. We did not use a cot, but you can request a cot if you want to stay overnight in the room. My husband enjoyed seeing the snow covered trees from his bed. There are two french doors with blinds that go all the way down to the floor and a large window by the bed. The room was nicely decorated, spacious and clean. There are two privacy drapes that the nurses pull around the bed when they are performing nursing care for the patient. I can not say enough positive things about this facility. It was a blessing that my husband received such excellent care during the last few days of his life.

Everyone that works here is full of compassion. I was here with my grandmother for her final days. They treated her as if she was one of their family members. Everyone at the facility treated her with care and compassion. They also made me feel at ease during this very difficult time. This is the place to bring your loved one during their final days. The way they treat your loved one in the end is beautiful. They let you take your time to say goodbye. I didn't feel rushed at all. They do a celebration of life walk with your loved one at the end. The facility and surrounding area is beautiful. Highly recommend them for this very difficult time.

A beautiful place to spend the last moments of life. The staff could not have been more patient and understanding. They explained what was happening and why. The rooms are spacious for family and friends to gather, they have plenty of other sitting rooms if needed. When my Grandmother passed they allowed us to take our time saying goodbye before the funeral home was called. I can’t express my gratitude enough for making a very difficult experience, as painless and supported as possible.

If there was an option for 0 stars, we would give that. Lacks compassion and empathy. Horrible experience for the end of life. We were appalled on the treatment received. Do NOT send someone you love here and expect comfort care. If you do have a loved one here, you might want to bring your own towels because they will ask to conserve the towels that they have.
