I highly recommend Heartland Hospice! Their response time is always quick, which is ideal when I'm making a referral. Their staff is passionate about educating the importance of getting on hospice services sooner rather than later to maximize on their services. This is a company I'd recommend to anyone!

I would highly recommend ProMedica. This is such a wonderful agency who provided everything we needed before we needed it! Care was delivered with dignity. Every team member we met was compassionate and caring. They made a sad and difficult chapter be beautiful and full of love. Most of all, they ensured that the wishes of our loved ones were realized and their life on this earth ended with love, contentment and dignity.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. They were unprofessional, rude, and did not disclose all information to us. Palliative care changed into hospice the moment paperwork was signed. The "nurse" showed up within 20 minutes after that to discuss medications and "pain management". Oh, and their idea of pain management was a RIDICULOUS amount of medication regardless of the level of pain. They discussed my father's medical information to a woman that is not even related to him AND actually scheduled the initial "meeting" through her without speaking to my father, simply because she called herself his stepdaughter. They also had side/private conversations with her without my father or the family being present. She was a friend of one of the nurses that worked at ProMedica so I'm pretty sure that's why she received the nice, special treatment that she did because none of the actual family members received that same treatment. When we told them not even 24 hours later services would not be needed because my father got good news from his doctor, they still showed up at my father's house. They tried to bully him into continuing with their care and bully the family as well. They were no longer nice and sympathetic, they were rude, no one was smiling, they talked down to us (his family members), and they had the audacity to tell us to get out of the house while they talked to him alone. The "social worker" said she wanted to make sure he was making the decision he wanted to make on his own and that we weren't forcing him into anything. Seemed to me the only ones trying to force him into anything was the ProMedica staff. Do not trust them with your loved ones.

When my mother got to the point that we had to bring hospice in. It was a hard thing to Deal with. but the staff was very comforting. They all showed empathy of what we is going through not only my mother but myself and brother. Anytime I called they were there. She needed something they were there. When she passed. It's like everything went at once. I've reached out to prometica 4 times Because I had such a hard time and still is having a hard time dealing with my mother's passing. They never reached out to me. Yes, I got the little news letter that they send to everybody. But it took me to call 4 × 2 finally get a response and when I asked if they had. Any type of group morning places are something that I could get help. With trying to overcome the passing of my mother, they said they did not anything like that or have anything like that here in the state that I live in. However, yeah, once they get something they would let me know. That was 6 months ago. Have they called back to check on me? No, have they called to see how we're doing? No, no, so would I recommend prometica, no?

The staff who helped care for our beloved wife/mother throughout her final days were truly the most caring, compassionate and devoted people we have ever met. They gently and professionally walked us through her journey and were always available at any time to answer questions, listen to us, or offer whatever they could. Even though she is now deceased, they are continuing to stay in touch with us to check to see if we need anything and to offer support group services. The employees at Heartland Hospice are amazing people, and we cannot thank them enough for all they did for mom and our family. Without hesitation, we highly recommend their services.
