About

Americare Hospice & Palliative Care is a place where the elderly ill can have a home. We have the best team with the proper training and education to take care of the patient and family. Americare Hospice & Palliative Care is committed to providing specialized care designed for people in the last phase of an incurable illness. We provide many benefits that are not possible in a traditional health-care setting. The focus of care is on pain and symptom relief so our patients can live their life in comfort and peace. Hospice is not a place, but a concept of care that can be provided wherever the patient considers home. It may be in a residential home, an assisted living facility, or a nursing home. We recognize the unique physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs of each person receiving hospice care. Our comprehensive hospice services are provided by an interdisciplinary team of compassionate professionals. Our core team includes home-visiting physicians, skilled hospice nurses, clinical social workers, chaplains, hospice aides, specially-trained volunteers, and grief counselors. We also offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, dietary consultation, and complementary therapies such as pet, massage, and music therapy. A hospice consultation to discuss the philosophy, criteria and services of Americare Hospice & Palliative Care is done to inform the patient and caregivers and see if hospice is right for them. The patient’s physician gives confirmation of the patient’s life-limiting illness. Once enrolled under hospice, a nurse will come to do the admission visit and initiate the plan of care with the patient, family, and team. A Compassionate and Faith-Filled Experience We are incredibly grateful for the care and support provided by AmericareHospice. From the moment we connected with them, it was clear this was more than just a healthcare service—it was a ministry of love, compassion, and dignity. The staff treated our residents with the utmost respect and truly embodied Catholic values in every interaction.( you do not need to be Catholic for them to provide services to your loved one) The presence of prayer, spiritual guidance, and sacramental support brought immense comfort to our seniors, families, and staff during such a difficult time. Nurses, aides, chaplains, and volunteers were all kind, professional, and attentive, making sure every need—physical, emotional, and spiritual—was met. If you're looking for a hospice agency that not only delivers excellent medical care but also honors the faith and dignity of your loved one, I cannot recommend Americare Hospice highly enough. They were a true blessing to our care home Families. Americare Hospice is one of our preferred Hopices. Annette Bialek (Assisted Living Home owner)

I am so thankful Andrea, Christian, Tania and the others at Americare came into my life when they did. I had just moved my 96 year old mother into memory care and things weren't going well at the facility. All of this was new to me, what expectations should I have of the facility? Why is my mom acting this way? They helped me understand what expectations I should have. They helped guide me as mom's dementia progressed and she presented new challenges for caregivers. The hospice team worked directly with the facility on care plans and always presented me with clearly defined alternative paths for care. This group was always there for me and my mom. Only now, weeks after my mom's passing, do I understand how blessed we were and how special this team is.

Americare Hospice & Palliative Care is excellent. When my mother fell ill in August, we needed to move fast to get her into home hospice care. Americare jumped into action with amazing speed. From the initial visit with Tania and Andrea until my mom's passing, every person we encountered was extremely kind, compassionate, and loving. They made us feel as if we were the only family they were serving. Tammy, mom's primary nurse, was phenomenal. Her expertise was very impressive, and only outshined by her caring nature. The lovely young lady who provided mom's bed baths was also wonderful, making the whole process look like a spa visit. The night nurse, Anthony, couldn't have been more compassionate and helpful the morning my mom passed. The fact that Americare is Catholic-affiliated was also very helpful to my family, given my mom's strong Catholic faith. They helped my father, sister, and me ensure we adhered to the Catholic belief system through every step of the process. My family and I highly recommend Americare, and would give them an infinite number of stars, if we could. The Scherf Family.

Working with Americare was a great experience! Considering the situation, we felt so much love, compassion, help, kindness, and so many other things. They were great from the first meeting we had. I would like to personally thank Tania and Andrea! I feel we have gained two new friends! They could not have been any nicer. I would totally recommend Americare for care of your loved one!♥️

Our mother’s illness occurred suddenly…. and she was faced with a difficult decision. She chose hospice and Americare. Americare was with our family every step of the way. The staff was professional, supportive, and caring. In a difficult time, we could not have asked for more support. We are forever grateful.
