Lifechoice Hospice and Palliative Care

I cannot speak highly enough about LifeChoice Hospice and Palliative Care. I witnessed first hand what loving, patient, and empathetic quality Hospice care looks like. I give myself credit for choosing them, after a careful search. Caring for my lifelong friend by myself was quite a challenge for me, physically; however her devoted nurse case manager, Mark, saw me through it with the help of his caring and compassionate team. Thank you to nurse Dan, on-call nurse Grace, (who talked me “off the ledge” for a solid hour on the phone one scary evening,) social worker, Kailynn, CNA Yaritza, (and Nadia) spiritual counselor, Doug, Dr. Kaplan, and to the 24 hr LifeChoice staff, who fielded my many many calls asking for help, always with patience and problem resolution at hand. You will not go wrong choosing LifeChoice.

My name is Shannon Parson Johnson, My father William parson was able to pass away with dignity and respect, I cannot say enough about the incredible care and compassion this hospice team provided for my father. Their whole demeanor and attitude is that of angels, compassion, empathy, love..When he was in the hospital, he was not receiving the proper pain management, they kept delaying the hospitals hospice program while my dad was dying in pain. I was desperate to get him home. Alena, the administrator, moved mountains to make that happen. They got my dad home in less than 18 hours, they were by my father‘s bedside within two hours of me calling desperate for help, which felt like a miracle during such a difficult time. Daniel, the nurse who came to the hospital, was so attentive and caring such a genuine person. And once we were home, nurse Julie and nurse Grace took over and truly went above and beyond. They made sure the bed oxygen tanks supplies and meds was delivered before my dad even got home.They made sure my dad was comfortable, out of pain, and surrounded by dignity and respect—something he was not receiving in the hospital. there was also a Sweet CNA that came to help also Cecilia Because of them, my dad was able to pass peacefully at home, just as he deserved. That means everything to me my father and our family. All of my father‘s friends and loyal family were able to come visit with him before he passed the next morning.. I highly recommend this hospice agency to anyone going through end-of-life care for a loved one—or even for themselves. Don’t wait until the last minute. Have this hospice team set up ahead of time—you will not regret it. They are truly angels doing God’s work. Shannon Johnson-parson

I am very grateful to Life Choice for taking care of my wife during her last days with us. They provided everything she needed for her comfort. They were so responsive with phone calls 24/7. All the staff were so kind especially Nurse Bertha Cruz-Reyes who gave extra time to visit and make sure that everything is taken care of. Thank you Life Choice. Kailyn just reached out to us on our family members behalf. She was sweet professional, and you could totally tell that she went out of her way to make our family member feel special and cared for and that really means a lot just off of one conversation. I hope that if anyone has to go through hard situations with family members that they get the same compassion that we have gotten from life choice today.

I want to thank Bertha, our hospice nurse, from the bottom of my heart. She naturally gave my mom such warm and compassionate care. Bertha was also so resourceful and helpful with my husband and me, and even with my mom’s caregiver. She went above and beyond for us, and we will be forever grateful to her.
