HOSPICE OF THE EAST BAY

I fell we were VERY blessed to find and get into Bruns House. The setting is just very beautiful and peaceful. All of the staff (and I met them all as I was in & out at all times of the day) were the most caring individuals. They not only took beautifil care of my husband, but they took care of me also. Even after, with what they offer in Bereavement Care & After Services care is so wonderful and something I don't think many places offer. My thanks will always be to these wonderful people that helped both my husband and I to get through this with dignity and special care.

This organization has been such a joy to work with, especially compared with our experience with a for-profit hospice company. Communication is great, the nurses are very knowledgeable and helpful, and my mom loves the aide who helps her shower twice a week. They have provided my mom with a volunteer and also a chaplain. They've been great about answering our questions. Unsurprisingly, weekend access is not as open as during the week, but still pretty impressive. We have not arrived yet at the inevitable sad end of our relationship with them, but I feel certain they will support us through that.

Hospice care was caring and professional, at every stage as conditions worsened. While we did not have the opportunity to make use, it was comforting to know East Bay includes caregiver support services as well. Our family was extremely impressed and wish we had turned to them sooner.

We used Hospice East Bay and their aftercare team. I can't tell you how superb each and every one of their care team. They were so kind, caring and informative in our difficult process, We will be forever grateful. Melody
