Hospice Care Plus

Terrible institution, volunteer based, about 6 nurses handling 6 counties & saw about 2 nurses in the center. Zero "compassion" & I wouldn't be surprised if none of them are actually licensed. All I've seen is laziness. I'm mortified & No I don't want to speak to Carrie/Kerry Or Lisa Cox. Do your family a favor & find an institution that doesn't want to cut corners in a time where empathy is needed. Desensitized SKIN SUITS WALKING AROUND. HUMANITY IS NOT PRESENT IN ANY PART OF THIS PROCESS.

I have been a nurse for over 32 years and this was the WORST experience of my life. This Hospice group showed NO compassion. Had the worst assessment skills. NO professionalism . I was embarrassed for them to even represent the nursing profession! I am an oncology RN and I’ll be sure to let my patients and their families know NOT to use this organization when they are going through one of the most difficult times in their lives, losing a loved one. If this is what they think compassion is taking care of your loved ones in their dying moments they need to shut their doors for business!!! Madison county needs another agency!!!!

Our experience was HORRIBLE. My dad was sent home with hospice. He was home for a week and only once did someone come see him. The other two times they did, were requested by our family. He needed medical attention and the intake nurse said the local hospital could not do the procedure. We called 911 and the hospital he was taken to was able to do what needed to be done. They did not order the care kit that was supposed to be in his home to make him comfortable during his final hours. His request was to pass at home with his family and his did not happen because they did not do what they were supposed to do. I called and spoke with someone about all the issues we had and was hoping to receive a call back with something and I received nothing! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. They did nothing they said they would!! My dad suffered because of them and I have to deal with the images of him in pain in my mind forever. If you have any other options, please go that route and not with Hospice Care Plus.

My on was under your organizations care, he was a difficult case. He passed away 02-17-2012 from Metastatic prostate cancer. I have nothing but praise for his nurse and your company. He was comfortable and well cared for. I could have asked for nothing more, you gave me peace knowing that you all were only a call away. you achieved the impossible for him.

Our experience with Hospice has been outstanding. Compassionate, Professional, care from wonderful staff during some of the most difficult circumstances.
