My uncle on my husband's side Jim was a longtime employee at the Barber National Institute in Erie, working in the workshop on many projects during his career of over 50 years. The Barber National Institute was a mainstay in Jim’s life for more than a half century, and it would be impossible to overstate the quality of care and broader ‘family’ support that he received over the course of his life. How the employers especially Lismary and her family treated Jim and treats his wife Shirley is very admirably. It is with a lot of Gratitude and respect! That I say Thank you so much.
Total Neglect! I've had this problem since 2017. Been on Special Adult Probation Twice in My life. By having a hydrocephalus water in the condition. This program involves very little Community Expectally In The City Of Erie and also doesn't support The Erie Pal Program! Don't recommend this program!
Don’t bother taking your family here. They can’t help and don’t want to. Unless your loved one fits inside a box with very limited criteria, they won’t do anything for you. It’s sad that this once reputable and renowned center has turned into a place of business that is only concerned about the bottom dollar. Save yourself the frustration and time and look for services elsewhere. *In response to the Barber Institute's response - I was not looking into services, we had services, until the Barber Center staff asked us to NOT bring my son back due to his anxiety/autism behaviors. We WERE working with you to get help for my son and you abandoned us. As a parent with a special needs so, there is no greater feeling of hopelessness than being abandoned by the one place in town that could've helped him.
Great foundation but too bad they treat their employees like garbage. Low starting wages, shady contracts, NO raises. No more barber beast for me. Will not give 1 more penny so they can build lavish buildings and not too their employees. What a shame.
