Mercedes Diaz Homes, Inc. - Direct Support Professional/Caregiver Position.
We are seeking a DSP/ Caregiver with behavior analysis experience to join our team! You will assist in the daily care of adults at our La Habra, CA. location. Here at Mercedes Diaz Homes (MDH) we have been giving back to the community and helping adults with developmental disabilities for over 30 years! Locations in Whittier, La Habra, Eagle Rock, Rosemead, and Anaheim.

You will be placed at the location closest to you.
Starting rate of pay at $16.00-$16.50/hour
$16.25 if DSP 1 certified
$16.50 if DSP 2 certified
$16.50 if CNA graduate of accredited program (state CNA certification not required).
Responsibilities:
Act as a role model and encourage positive interactions with others.
Assist clients with daily living activities.
Communicate ongoing care results and updates to relevant parties.
Collaborate with clients and caregivers for best care opportunities.
Maintain a healthy, clean and comfortable living environment.
Provide assistant with personal hygiene, housekeeping and meal preparation.
Manage clients who exude verbal and physical behaviors.
Qualifications:
Proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is a condition of employment
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid CA Driver's License.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Compassionate and caring demeanor.
Ability to build rapport with clients.
Experience in the following fields a plus: Assisted Living, Behavior Aide, Caregiver, Care Giver, CNA, DD, Developmentally Disabled, Job Coach, Direct Support Professional, DSP, Elderly Care, Senior Care, Hospice Care, ILS, LVN, Autism, Special Education, Special Needs, ILS, SLS, Housekeeper, Driver.
