Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Job Description
State licensed as a Nursing Assistant-Registered or Certified or Home Care Aid Certified. Ability to learn and understand medications and side affects and possible reactions to those medications. Administer medications per doctors’ orders in a timely and efficient manner keeping in mind that the administration of medications must be completely accurate. Take and record vital signs/weights of residents per physician’s order and per facility standards, supervises resident aides in this process. Document information concerning the residents’ health and any change of medical condition and report any changes to the RCD/RN in a timely manner. Supervise, mentor and facilitate ongoing skill building for Resident Aides. Evaluate, encourage, and provide corrective action to Resident Aides as necessary – utilizing appropriate counseling, verbal warnings and documentation as outlined in employee policy manual. Oversee/Ensure the documentation of residents’ intake of nourishment, bowel movements, weights, vitals, incident’s – communicating/charting all changes Must be an advocate for Resident Rights. Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $17.45 per hour
