MedTech

The Med Tech is responsible for providing routine medication administration and supportive patient care services to residents in an assisted living, memory care, or long‑term care setting. This role ensures residents receive their prescribed medications accurately, safely, and in compliance with state regulations and facility policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, following established protocols and state regulations. Accurately document administered medications and treatments in residents’ medical records. Monitor and observe residents for changes in behavior or physical condition and report any changes to the nursing staff. Maintain a clean, organized medication cart and medication room. Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, residents, and family members as required. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Participate in staff meetings, in‑services, and ongoing training as required. Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing department or administration.
