Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
Serene Living LLC is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and professional CNA to join our team and provide personalized in-home care for patients in need of assistance with activities of daily living. As a CNA, you will support patients in a home environment, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. LOOKING FOR A CNA WHO SPEAKS FLUENT SPANISH! Key Responsibilities: Provide Personal Care: Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. Monitor Patient Health: Observe and report changes in patient’s physical, mental, and emotional health to the supervising nurse or physician. Assist in taking vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.). Assist with Mobility: Help patients with walking, transferring from bed to chair, and other mobility needs, ensuring safe movement and proper body mechanics. Medication Assistance: Assist patients in taking prescribed medications, ensuring correct dosages and times, and report any issues to the healthcare team. Prepare and Maintain Patient Records: Document daily care activities, including changes in patient condition, in accordance with agency policies and healthcare regulations. Companionship and Emotional Support: Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support to patients and their families. Foster a caring, respectful, and compassionate relationship with patients. Infection Control and Safety: Adhere to infection control practices and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, following agency protocols and healthcare guidelines. Provide Transportation and Errands: Assist patients with transportation to appointments or run errands as needed (may vary depending on the job location). Qualifications: Certification: Current, valid CNA certification in the state of Georgia. Experience: Previous experience in home health care, skilled nursing, or hospital settings is preferred, but not required. Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of the elderly and/or disabled. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and infection control practices. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, move, and assist patients with mobility, and the ability to perform light housekeeping tasks. Clear Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check.
