Licensed Practical Nurse for Private Duty Nursing

Private Duty Nursing (LPN) Preferred Home Care of New York, a fully licensed Home Care Agency serving the NY Metropolitan area including Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties, is seeking Per-diem Private Duty Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Brooklyn, New York. This position will provide hands on training skills to provide direct care to ventilator dependent patients in the home care setting at no cost to the nurse. This is a great opportunity for both seasoned LPNs as well as recent graduates! SIGN ON BONUS: $500 for all LPN’s after completion of 432 hours with PHCNY! Referral Bonus: $250 referee will receive after the referred employee completes 432 hours at PHCNY REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to function independently • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, caregivers as well as other members of the health care team including agency coordinators, physicians and case managers. • Good organizational, writing, communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to speak effectively with customers/patients or employees of the agency. • Complies with agency policies with respect to following MD orders, implementing POC, submission of assessments, managing skilled visits and timesheets. • Experience performing High level skilled services in the home This should include: Ventilator and Trach care, infusion nursing care, wound care and PEG Tube care is a plus not required QUALIFICATIONS: • NYS License and current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse. • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing. • One-year experience in an acute care facility is a plus not required. • Current CPR certification COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE: • $28 – $30 an hour • Create your own schedule • Supportive Management • Weekly Pay Checks • Two-day specialized training program skills to provide direct care to ventilator dependent patients in the home care setting at no cost to the nurse To Transform your career and join a company that values both care giver and patient apply today!
