Sacred Heart Home, part of the Brothers of Mercy Continuum of Care, is an Adult Home providing assistive living services to seniors. Our Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are responsible for the quality of care administered by the personal care aides staff as well monitoring Resident’s physical examinations, medications, and well-being. LPN duties include: Works within HIPAA, Corporate Compliance and Resident's Rights policies Coordinates the total care of all residents in collaboration with other-departments and provider agencies Responsible for the quality of care administered by the personal care aides staff Document in 24 hour report any pertinent information that needs to be communicated to other shifts Responds to resident's complaints of staffs observations of physical, mental or behavioral problems and changes Contacts physicians (when needed) to obtain orders, notify of resident's condition, and to report abnormal laboratory results Gives direct advice and supervision to the residents Maintains appropriate medications records for each resident Orders medications on a timely basis from the pharmacy provider for the resident Prepares monthly medication and treatment sheets for each resident as directed. Arranges transportation for resident's appointments as needed Assures laboratory tests are obtained when ordered by the attending physician and notifies physician of abnormal results Upon the completion of the resident's annual physical examination by notifying the resident and/or family in a timely manner Brothers of Mercy is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
