PSS Home Care Seeks a Dedicated Home Health Aide (HHA) open to caring for the elderly specifically in Queens area! Position: Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) in New York State Location: Queens, NY Schedule: Full-time or Part-time, Live-In or Live-Out Case Info: *cases vary* Company Story: Established in 2013, PSS Home Care is a licensed home care agency that serves families in the five boroughs of the wonderful city of New York, including Nassau County. What You'll Do: You'll be responsible for providing care to some of the most fragile and vulnerable members of our society. Duties may include: providing emotional support to patients, helping patients schedule and keep doctor's appointments, transporting patients to appointments and other events, transporting patients around their homes (and potentially to/from a wheelchair, walker, etc.), assisting with dressing and bathing, cooking and other light housekeeping tasks. Who You Are: You have at least 1 year of prior experience as a caregiver. You enjoy helping those in need, are in good physical health, and have access to reliable transportation. You're responsible, compassionate, patient, dependable, understanding, and committed to providing the best care possible! Work-eligibility Documents (e. g. state ID, SS card, green card, etc.) 5.) Two work-related references (at the least) or three professional character references 6.) Bank check or direct deposit authorization form from bank for payroll purposes 7.) Recent COVID-19 Test Result (negative), preferably no later than a week old prior to start of case (depending on case); once a week COVID-19 test is required from then on 8.) COVID-19 vaccination (Note: SOME clients request for COVID-19 vaccinated HHA/PCA. SOME DO NOT.) Other language(s) is a plus.
