Lakeview Village in Lenexa, Kansas is a 5-Star not-for-profit continuing care retirement community, which offers long-term care, assisted living, sub-acute rehabilitation and home health services. Provide supervision and leadership to the Care Center, Assisted Living and Eastside Terrace. Ensure care for all residents/clients. Ensure the safety and well being of Lakeview residents and staff. Provide support to the nurses working on the evening shift. Assure that the highest degree of safety and sanitation is maintained at all times. GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and maintain good working relationships with other Lakeview employees and other departments within the facility, enhancing the reputation of the Care Center. Assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner for resident and guest comfort and confidence. Assure that work/assignment areas are clean and free of equipment, supplies, etc. before leaving such areas. Ensure that Residents Rights -- including those of fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to express grievances -- are followed. Attend and participate in in-service educational classes and on-the-job training programs. All other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing Requirements Valid State of Kansas RN license or LPN license with IV certification Demonstrated leadership ability; strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated commitment to the care and protection of the elderly. Demonstrated ability to lift 75 pounds with the assistance of one other person Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, 5% of the time. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, 50% of the time. Ability to push up to 25 pounds. Ability to pull up to 25 pounds of force. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, turn, and/or twist when necessary. Ability to climb and walk down stairs Ability to work independently; display a kind, courteous attitude, and work in a team-oriented setting with residents, relatives, staff and others.
