Caregiver Job Description
Reports To: Team Leader, Shift Leader, and/or House Manager Summary: Complete housekeeping requirements, caregiving and monitoring of residents, and basic note-taking of various client or caregiving activities. Duties and Responsibilities including the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary: 1. Make beds, detail rooms and bathrooms, assist in laundry services, and other housekeeping tasks as required to maintain the facility including client spaces. 2. Monitor residents and help maintain their physical, psychological, and emotional well-being by offering direction and support, and partnering with individual clients using the Support Buddy system. 3. Assist in the general health and hygiene prompts to clients, assisting them to meet their activities of daily living according to general facility procedures. 4. Assist in the completion of timely resident medical treatments according to general facility procedures. 5. Assist in the monitoring of resident smoking activities including distribution of client daily funds and/or smoking supplies according to general facility procedures. 6. Assist in completing periodic resident bed checks and in providing general resident supervision as instructed. 7. Lead residents and encourage their participation in daily client activities. 8. Assist with food service including meals and snacks, and associated activities including kitchen cleanup and dishes. 9. Complete facility floor care routine, including mopping and vacuuming, or other elements as required. 10. Lift up to 20 pounds and remain on feet for extended periods of time. 11. Maintain the ability to work at various necessary local business locations. 12. Follow posted schedule and maintain excellent attendance. 13. Performs other related duties as assigned.
