Monday-Friday 10 AM-6:30 PM. Flexible hours. Rotating weekends on-call. Assisted Living and/or LTC Skilled Nursing experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate. JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Resident Care Director ______________________________ Principal duties and responsibilities: Participates in the selection of, orients, trains, directs, evaluates and when necessary, disciplines or discharges members of the Resident Care department. Develops and conducts in-services for staff. Ensures facility compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations. Provides direction, monitors and performs competency testing for Medication Aides, upon hire and annually. Anticipates, plans and evaluates the care of residents. Directs and performs resident care, including assisting with ADL’s, administration of medications, treatments and other identified areas of the resident’s service plan. Orders and re-orders medications according to physician order from designated pharmacy. Discusses significant health concerns with resident’s physician. Clarifies orders as needed. Responsible for all care of residents, including quality assurance, nutritional needs, health care appointments, completion of lab work and other medical procedures, etc. Completes and documents pre-admission assessments, monthly summaries and service plans. Addresses any resident’s requests, complaints or grievances. Monitors, orders and stocks nursing supplies. Communicates closely with resident and resident family members or designated representative regarding resident condition, change in condition, emergencies or other related circumstances. _________________________________ Reporting relationships: Reports to Executive Director
