Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
Pioneer House AFH in Downtown Puyallup is currently looking for a very kind, positive, dependable, trustworthy, upbeat CNA or HCA to join our amazing team! We are looking for someone who will bring a great attitude and being a team player is a MUST! Pioneer House is Hiring for a full time or part time weekend CNA’s. We are looking for a full time staff to work a set schedule: Shift available: Sunday 7am- Monday 7am (part time) Or Fulltime Sunday 7am-7pm Monday 7am-7pm Saturday 7am-7pm Pay DOE and credentials: $19-$22 hour We are wanting someone with a CNA or HCA license We require a previous TB 2-step (or willing to get) CPR and First Aid Food Handlers Card Nurse Delegation Certificate Diabetes Delegation Certificate Mental Health Specialty Training Dementia Specialty Training Wa State background and fingerprint check are required. We offer steady shifts every week, set schedules, competitive wages, sick/personal time, bonuses, gift cards and employee appreciation dinners and more! Pay is based on your credentials and experience, and what shifts you work, (ie. weekends or weekdays) We also guarantee all our employees are off on major holidays! We are an Adult Family Home caring for 6 patients in the home. We have a caregiving team who staff the home around the clock and we currently have openings for a new team member! We want to hire people who are interested in keeping our work place a really fun place to be and continuing excellent care and work ethic Pioneer House Staff provide personal care, medication management, meal preparation, housekeeping tasks, laundry services, cleaning, organizing and light baking. We also need people with excellent communication skills, someone who can help organize and communicate with hospice, home health PT, OT and Speech services, and someone who follows protocol on documentation All team members must be capable of lifting with no restrictions, bending, pushing, pulling, transferring residents and pushing residents in Wheelchairs, providing assistance and transfers with all tasks needed such as dressing, showering, bathroom assistance, wound care, medication administration, feeding, taking blood pressures, temps, respiration’s, weights, pulse and blood sugars, injecting insulin, turning and repositioning residents in bed and more. Staff must be capable of reading and writing English, speaking clear English, answering phones, customer service, handling medical emergencies and incidents as instructed and guiding residents and families in stressful situations along with many other tasks.
