Daystar Retirement Village, one of West Seattle’s most prestigious retirement and assisted living communities, is seeking a highly skilled, dynamic nurse with a passion for seniors. Our preferred candidate will have the drive to lead our well established and well supported assisted living program, and mentor our amazing team of compassionate, caring individuals. The desired candidate will have previous experience managing a successful assisted living program in Washington State and will preferably have a working knowledge of the Washington State Regulation governing assisted living. For more information about our local, family owned campus, visit our website at www.villagegreenretirement.com Responsibilities Include but limited to: · Oversight of all aspects of the assisted living program, the residents, and staff. · Ensure all practices are compliant with Washington State regulations governing assisted living. · Hire, train and supervise care staff, medication technicians and resident care coordinator, · Develop and maintain health services plans and resident assessments via electronic medical record system for all assisted living clients. · Managing licensing inspections, surveys, and investigations in partnership with the campus director. · Monitors all medications, reviews documentation, and ensures that all physician orders are followed. · Coordinate care and service with home health, hospice, and outpatient rehabilitation services. · Cultivate and maintain working relationships with physicians, residents, family members, community staff and department managers. Qualifications and Requirements: · Current Washington State RN or LPN nursing license in good standing. · Experience caring for seniors in a community setting is preferred but not required. · Previous leadership/supervisory experience in a related healthcare setting preferred. · Working knowledge of the Washington State Regulations governing assisted living preferred. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Basic computer literacy. · Desire to teach, train and mentor others in a supportive, resident centered environment. Additional Information: · Full time salaried position* · Benefits include medical, 401K, paid vacation, sick leave and holidays, and tuition reimbursement* * · This position is set up for success with strong support of the Executive Director, exceptional assistant, and long-term staff to help manage department. · Our leadership team will coach, teach, train and mentor this position · Registered Nurse Delegator and clinical consultants in place to provide ongoing support and assistance, training, and clinical oversight.
