CNA or HCA for Adult Family Home, University Place

Nurse Lavinia’s is offering full-time and part-time shifts for a qualified caregiver (female by resident request) to care for our five pleasant residents with dementia. FT position: Four continuous 10-hour days per week, (8AM-6PM) that includes a weekend day. For example: Sun, M, T, W OR: W, Th, F, Sat PT position: Sundays only, 8AM-6PM Please inquire if you would like me to consider certain days for FT position or if you are available On-call. Caregivers will never be put in an unsafe situation (ex/ one person will not be asked to do a 2-person transfer). However, caregiver must be physically able to assist with occasional light-moderate lifting during one-person resident transfers. Physical stamina is also important as this is an energetic, busy job (with rest breaks!). The ability to learn quickly and work independently is valued, however Provider is usually on-site or readily available on-call for support. -Pleasant working environment. Beautiful home with views of the Sound, great neighborhood, and a quiet atmosphere. Residents are pleasant, cooperative and easily redirected. Job duties: Ratio is one caregiver to 5 residents. Personal/hygiene care of Residents- attention to detail. Assist with ADLs Basic meal prep and light housekeeping Medication assistance Required Certifications/Licenses: Current CNA/HCA license Current CPR/First Aid card Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. (SSN or work permit) Fingerprint Background Check (must be able to pass) 2 Step Tb (step 1 within 3 days of hire) Current Food Handlers card Dementia Certificate (within 90 days of start date) Mental Health Certificate (within 90 days of start date) Complete 12 hours of qualify ed continuing education (current year) Compensation will initially depend on experience.
