Home Care Aide (HCA) Job Description
Position Summary: A Program Supervisor is designated to each program. The position is responsible for direct compliance to the contracting agency for that particular program. Program Supervisors work directly with Program Directors and Office Managers to maintain the highest possible standard in Program Performance Process intakes for new clients Responsible for monitoring and evaluating staff Develop schedules for participants and staff. Provide mediation and consultation as needed with staff and clients Attend required meetings Reports to requesting contracting agencies as required by each contract Monitors hours, data, time sheets Responsible for the safety of self, staff, participants, and individuals that may come in contact with personnel or participants during activities; May transport participants in personal vehicle. Assisting in agency collaboration Maintains accurate files on clients and employees Perform daily receptionist activities, (i.e.) phone answering. Answer phones, greet clients, take payments, communicate effectively interoffice, and interagency. Using appropriate interagency and interoffice communication Mandatory Qualifications The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, using some other combination of skills and abilities. 1. Requires a high school diploma or GED and Basic training in Home Care or nursing experience. Supervisory experience preferred. 2. Must be able to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to learn, follow and apply complex regulations and procedures. Knowledge of spelling and vocabulary, as well as correct use of grammar, punctuation, and letter format. 3. Requires familiarity with filing systems and computers, specifically Microsoft Word, and Excel, or ability to become proficient during the probationary period. 4. Customer service expertise. 5. Ability to organize, schedule, and multi-task 6. Knowledge of Adult Protective, Child Protective laws and WACS, or ability to have a clear understanding in the probationary period. 7. Ability to deal with diverse populations. 8. Have knowledge of contractual obligations or the ability to become proficient in the probationary period. 9. Ability to mediate conflicts when they arise with clients, employees, and on occasion family members.
