PART TIME/CONTINGENT HOME HEALTH AIDE

HOME HEALTH AIDE POSITION PURPOSE: The Home Health Aide works under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Therapist. The Home Health Aide is assigned to specific clients by the registered nurse or other appropriate professional and performs service for the client as necessary to maintain the personal comfort of the client . The home health aide reports directly to the clinical director. Qualifications: 1. Have successfully completed a formal certification training program and/or passed a written skills test and competency evaluation. 2. Be eighteen years of age. 3. Have at least six months experience in a health care facility. 4. Have demonstrated sympathetic attitude toward care of the sick. 5. Posses the ability to read, write and carry out directions. 6. Possess the maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the jobs. 7. Have demonstrated the ability to work with little supervision and make appropriate judgement. 8. Have demonstrated dependability, tact, and ability to follow orders. 9. Possess and maintain good physical and mental health, including current TB testing 10. Have US Citizenship or evidence of valid Alien Work Permit.
