Home Health Aide (HHA) Job Description
CAS Home Health Care is currently seeking highly motivated Home Health Aides who are knowledgeable and eager to provide personal, home and community-based health care. CAS Home Health Care, Inc. serves Philadelphia, Montgomery, Lancaster, Delaware, and Chester Counties. CAS Home Health Care HHA’s provide care to patients requiring daily and weekly care. Various shifts are available. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide health care services in patients residences Perform domestic and household tasks Transport and accompany patients to doctor’s medical appointments Remind patient to take medications Assist with client’s personal care activities Monitor patients (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc.) and report on their condition Maintain patients care records and document provided services Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise Collect routine specimens Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support Provide assistants with financials as needed QUALIFICATIONS: Successfully completed a training program that meets the requirements of home health aide training consisting of classroom and supervised practical training (minimum 80 hours). MUST HAVE A HOME HEALTH AIDE CERTIFICATION. The following documentation is required for employment: *Pennsylvania State ID or Driver’s license (Out-of-state ID requires a Federal Background Screening) *Social Security Card *2 Step PPD/Tuberculosis Test (1 Step required every year thereafter) or Chest X-Ray and *Up-to-date physical examination completed *Previous Employer References All Home Health Aides are required to complete 22 In-Service Training on an annual basis.
