Home Health Aide (HHA) Job Description
Care givers should have a minimum of 3 years experience. CNA license (Required) A passion for caregiving and a desire to help others. A commitment to being present and providing quality care. Ability to carry out direction, both verbal and written. Must meet State requirements for Home Health Aide training program and competency. Empathy, patience, Kindness and respect. Lift and transfer patients safely and efficiently, experience with Hoyer lift. Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and health care professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control and safety protocols. Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and a commitment to maintaining patient privacy. Proficiency in caregiving and the ability to assist patients with daily living activities. Must have driver's license.(Required) Basic cooking skills and the ability to prepare healthy meals and snacks as needed, and assist with light household chores. Manage patients medications, including administering medications as directed by a health care professional. Experience with dementia care and the ability to engage patients with cognitive impairments in meaningful activities. Knowledge of hospice care principles and the ability to provide end-of-life care with sensitivity and compassion
