AWESOMENESS WANTED: Caregiver Opportunities… A well-established Behavioral and Home Care Agency in the Chapel Hill area is looking for AWESOME people who are willing to work as a Habilitation Technician in the Chatham, Durham and Orange County area. As a Hab. Tech. you will need to have graduated from high school or received a high school equivalency certificate, and have experience in the provision of supervised services for persons with developmental disabilities. Similar job titles include caregiver/worker, direct support professional, health aide, health care technician and home-health worker. A habilitation technician’s role is set apart from other occupations in the industry because he/she works exclusively with adults and children who have physical, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. A habilitation technician’s job duties are client specific to include training the individual in completing personal care task, household chore task, community engagement outings and following the treatment plans of the individual you work with daily. A variety of days and hours are available thus flexibility in your schedule is needed. Upon hiring you MUST complete training in First Aid, CPR, CPI and orientation prior to beginning to work the assigned case.
