A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE / LPN As a Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN, you assist the physicians and the Director of Nursing in the treatment and examination of our patients. You arrive for each shift determined to ensure that our residents enjoy the highest possible quality of care. Supervising and directing the day-to-day tasks of the medication nurse and nursing aides is also an important aspect of your job. You always encourage an atmosphere of optimism, warmth, and sincere concern for each of our patients. Your excellent interpersonal skills come in handy as you administer medications and perform treatments. And, your attention to detail helps you keep accurate records as you document nurses' notes, physicians' orders, discharge plans, dietary changes, reports, evaluations, and studies. When it comes to personal and private information, you are always tactful and discreet. You also patiently and professionally recognize, address, and report any grievances. Making a positive impact in the lives of our patients and their families brings you a great deal of satisfaction! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) LPN License WORK SCHEDULE We employ LPNs for day (7am-3pm), evening (3pm-11pm, $5/hr differential) and night (11pm-7am, $2/hr differential) shifts. We are now also offering 4 hour shifts (7-11am and 3-7pm) as a flexible schedule opportunity.
