Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Job Description

We are seeking a FULL-TIME and PRN Personal Care Aides for our following Suffolk, VA facilities: - Behavioral Health Assisted Living Facility **Gero-Psychiatric and Mental Health experience is preferred for this position. Responsibilities and Duties for PCA: • Provide direct consumer care such as bathing, dressing, toileting and assisting with medication. • Document progress and activities, tasks performed, and response to care. • Report any consumer condition changes to the RN and Program Supervisor. • Serve as a role model, provide guidance and assist with medication management under the direction of the RN, LPN, and Pharmacist. • Comply with agency policies and procedures, and adhere to all relevant local, state, and federal legal and regulatory requirements. • Transport consumers as necessary. Qualifications and Skills for PCA: • At least 1 year of PCA experience • Valid driver’s license with acceptable DMV record • Experience with Gero-Psych and mental health • Long term Care experience • Proficient using Electronic medical records • Basic knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare Regulations Work Schedule: Must be able to work Days, Nights/Overnights, and Weekends To Apply: Submit your application and resume via Indeed, or via traditional mail to 7025 Harbour View Blvd. Suite 119, Suffolk, VA 23435.
