Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description
Nursing Essential Job Functions Accurate, detailed nurse to nurse shift report New admissions Discharge patients Medication administration Daily assessment and documentation Change in condition care and documentation Communication with physicians, family and other staff members Requisition for labs, diagnostic testing, x-ray and other procedures Risk management assessment and documentation Written, verbal, phone physician order entry Follow up appointments for patients Arranging transportation for patient appointments Timely PCC charting IDT discharge documentation Keep up to date on Relias training and In-services RN - Education Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved RN program RN - Specific Requirements Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state-must report any situations that may arise in which the license could be effected Must possess a current BLS certification, accredited by the American Heat Association. ACLS Certification preferred Must be able to pass a drug screening, background check and CAPS check Covid Testing as required per state guidelines. PPE provided by facility
