RN Supervisor Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be a registered professional nurse and a graduate of an accredited school
of nursing.
• Must have a current state license to practice as a nurse in the state of Georgia
RESPONSIBLE:
To D.O.N., A.D.O.N..
FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
• The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the health care needs of the residents.
• Nursing Supervisors should ensure that clear documentation of nursing care is charted. Also that the notes are informative and descriptive of the care given to the residents.
• Supervisors review the health requirements of each resident admitted to the facility and assists the attending physician during their shift.
• Nursing Supervisors keep the D.O.N. and A.D.O.N. informed on the status of the residents and other related matters through written reports and/or verbal communications.
• Follow up care and charting of residents.
• Other specific duties that R.N. Supervisors perform include: medication pass, charting, daily hygiene and treatments as needed for coverage for your shift.
• Supervisors must keep the Administration aware of the needs of their shift.
• Supervisors must follow all other duties as assigned by the D.O.N., A.D.O.N. or the Administrator.
